The Brooklyn Nets & Delete Blood Cancer
are saving lives together.
This past season, it was Nets Fans vs. Blood Cancer in an exciting nine game match-up at Barclays Center in downtown Brooklyn. And the winner was . . . Delete Blood Cancer. Thanks to the incredible support of The Nets, their star guard Joe Johnson and enthusiastic Brooklyn fans, we added more than 500 new donors to the national registry during our game-night donor drives. And of that number, two are already potential life-saving matches for patients!

On the court, Joe Johnson, star shooting guard for the Brooklyn Nets, is admired for the way he battles his opponents. Off the court, he looks to his mother for inspiration; she is afflicted with leukemia and fighting one of the toughest opponents to beat. Delete Blood Cancer is honored to have Joe Johnson as our spokesperson. In the public service announcements that he filmed for us, the six time NBA all-star explains the importance of joining the bone marrow donor registry, how simple it is to get swabbed, and how easy it is to save a life. His powerful PSA’s will be aired during halftime on the jumbotron at each of the five home games listed below. |
Our Delete Blood Cancer team will be at the Barclays Center to educate and register anyone who is eligible and wants to join the fight.
