DKMS is the largest bone marrow donor center in the world with over 3.5 million registered donors. More than 35,000 DKMS donors have helped save lives by donating their bone marrow or peripheral blood stem cells. Within the U.S., DKMS Americas has registered more than 350,000 donors with over 1,000 donations. 

National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP)
Since 1992, DKMS has been a part of the Be The Match Registry® (operated by the NMDP) and meets annual NMDP compliance requirements. 

Worldwide, DKMS donors make up 15% of registered unrelated bone marrow donors. Over 30% of NMDP’s registered donors are from DKMS. The Be The Match Registry® facilitates an average of more than 400 marrow or blood stem cell transplants each month, and has given more than 50,000 patients a second chance at life.

Internal Revenue Service Non-Profit Status
The Internal Revenue Service has determined that DKMS Americas be exempt from Federal income tax as an organization described in Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (the “Code”)and a public charity under Code Section 509(a)(1). Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law. The tax-deductible amount permitted for any contribution is limited to the excess of the contribution above the value of any goods or services received.
